WE NEED:
- Banana Stem(chopped finely)- 2 cups
- Onion(chopped finely)- 1/2 cup
- Red chili powder- 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 1 Tbsp
- Mustard- 1 tsp
- Cumin- 1 tsp
- Urad dal- 1 tsp
- Hing- 1 tsp
- Curry leaves- handful
PROCEDURE:
- Chop Banana Stem finely. Place immediately this in water so that the stem doesn't change color.
- In a hot pan add oil, add in mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal and hing, once mustard seeds crackles, add in the finely chopped onions, curry leaves. Saute.
- Once the onions becomes transparent add in the chopped banana stem and add in the salt and turmeric powder, red chili powder. Mix well and close the lid.
- Cook until the turmeric smell gone. It will take just few min. Saute well and serve.
