- Fish(Tilapia)- 3 fillets
- Water- 3 cups
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder- 1 Tbsp
- Red chili powder- 1/2 Tbsp
- Oil- 4 Tbsp
- Mustard- 1 tsp
- Cumin- 1 tsp
- Green chilies- 5 no
- Ginger- 2 inch
- Garlic- 3 pods
- Onions(finely chopped)- 2 cups
HOW WE DO IT:
- Boil the fish in water, until the water and the fish turns white and frothy.
- Remove the fish from water let it cool. Once it cools squeeze the fish with both the hands.
- In the squeezed fish, add in turmeric, red chili powder and required salt. Mix everything together and keep it aside.
- Take a hot pan add oil, temper first with cumin seeds and mustard seeds. Add Crushed garlic, chopped green chillies and ginger.
- Saute for 2 minutes, then add in onions, cook well until the onions turns transparent.
- Now add the marinated squeezed fish, keep on stirring by keeping the stove on medium to simmer, until the masala is well incorporated with fish and cook for 10 minutes.
- Enjoy the delicious sora puttu with hot rice and onion sambar.
