Meen Kulambu/ Chepala Pulusu


  1. Grind (Garlic(6 pods)+Curry leaves+Coriander leaves)+(Onion(1)+Tomato(1)).
  2. Soak Tamarind and make paste out of it.
  3. In tamarind paste add (Salt+Turmeric+Chilli powder(home made 3 to 4 tbsp)).
  4. In kadai, add oil, once the oil heats add fenugreek(1 tsp), mustard seeds, cumin seeds and urad dal. 
  5. After mustard seeds splutters add the tamarind juice, let it boil well then add the ground paste, boil well until the gravy thickens to kulambu/pulusu consistency.
  6. Add in the Fish pieces, close the lid cook until the fish pieces becomes soft(it takes just 5 to 10 min).
