Mullangi Poriyal/ Radish side dish


WE NEED:
  • Mullangi/ Radish(cut into cubes)- 1 Lb
  • Onions(chopped)- 1/2 cup
  • Garlic- 2 pods(chopped)
  • Tomato(chopped)- 1/4 cup
  • Red chili powder/ paprika- 1 Tbsp
  • Black Pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric- 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil- 1 Tbsp
  • Mustard- 1 tsp
  • Cumin- 1 tsp
  • Water- 1 cup
PROCEDURE:
  • In a pan, add in oil, heat the oil, add in mustard, cumin, let the mustard splutter.
  • Add in chopped onions and garlic, sate until the onions turns transparent. Add in tomatoes and drizzle in some water.
  • Add in daikon radish, salt, turmeric and red chili powder saute well and add in water close the lid and cook until all of the water is absorbed by radish, and radish turns transparent. Saute in between so that the radish will not stick to pan.
  • Finally add in black pepper powder, mix it and serve.
That's it yummy radish side dish is ready.
