WE NEED:
- Green beans(chopped finely)- 2 cups
- Onions(chopped)- 1/2 cup
- Lentils(Tuvar Dal)- 1/2 cup
- Garlic- 2 pods
- Green chilies- 2 no
- Curry leaves- hand ful
- Cumin- 2 tsp
- hing- 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 2 Tbsp
- Mustard- 1 tsp
PROCEDURE:
- Soak lentils for 30 min.
- Grind lentils with cumin, green chilies, garlic, hing, curry leaves, salt.
- Steam or fry in oil the blended lentils. Once the lentils fritters gets cooled, rice the lentils fritters in food processor or blender.
- In a pan, add green beans, little salt, turmeric and little water, steam the beans for 10 minutes.
- In a hot wide pan, add in oil, temper with mustard and cumin, add in the steamed beans, once the remaining water gets absorbed by green beans, add in the riced lentils mix thoroughly.
- Season it with coriander leaves if you prefer.
Enjoy the Beans and Riced Lentils with sambar rice or rasam rice or even curd rice.
