- Take hot pan, add oil up to 5 tbsp, add in some fenugreek seeds let it turn maroon color then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal and chana dal.
- Add in chopped onions(1 medium sized) let it turn transparent then add chopped tomatoes(1 medium sized) let it fry until the gravy thickens.
- Add in the potatoes(cut length wise) mix well add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well pour some water, close the lid cook until the potatoes cooks half.
- Then add thick tamarind juice, mix well close the lid cook until the curry thickens and oil separates.
- Enjoy.
