Chicken Chettinad Gravy

Ingredients

Chicken- 1/2 kg
Onions(Big)- 1 1/2
Tomatoes(medium size)- 2
Oil- 5tsp
Turmeric powder- pinch
Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Fennel seeds- 1/2 tsp
Cardamom- 1/2 inch
Cloves- 5

To Grind: 

Onion- 1/2
Tomato- 1
Ginger- 1 inch 
Garlic- 6 pods

Dry Roast and Grind:

Fennel Seeds- 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds- 1 tsp
Black Peppercorns- 1 tsp 
Red Chillies- 4
Coconut- Small piece

Marination: 

Wash chicken with turmeric powder and salt, Marinate it by adding the things mentioned in 'to grind' and 1 tsp of 'Dry Roast and Grind', little salt and turmeric powder. Keep it aside for 1 hour.  

Preparation

Heat pan and add oil, fennel seeds, cloves, cardamom, add onions, salt, turmeric, Red chilli powder and the things mentioned in 'Dry Roast and Grind' let it cook well until the raw smell disappears, then add tomatoes and Marinated chicken. 
Cook well until the oil separated from the gravy. Delicious Chicken Chettinad Gravy is ready to serve. Serve it with rice or chapati.
