- Pressure cook channa dal for 1 whistle.
- Add in chopped beetroot, chopped onions, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and crushed fennel seeds, again pressure cook for 1 whistle.
- Switch off the stove. Take a hot pan, temper with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, channa dal and urad dal, add in the pressure cooked beetroot.
- Fry it well until all the water evaporates. enjoy.
