Ingredients
- Tomatoes(chopped)- 1 Cup
- Onions(chopped)- 1 Cup
- Red chillies- 3 no.
- Tamarind- 1 inch
- Ginger- 1 inch
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 1 Tbsp
For Tempering
- Oil- 1 Tbsp
- Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
- Urad dal- 1 tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves- Hand full
Preparation
- Heat a pan, add in of oil, then add onions, red chillies, let the onions turn transparent then add little salt, turmeric powder, ginger, tomatoes.
- When tomatoes mixture becomes mushy then add tamarind and let it cool for some time. once the mixture cools down. Blend it in a blender.
- Heat a pan and temper the items listed in 'for tempering', add this to tomato-onion paste.
