Lemon Rice/ Pulusannam

Ingredients

  • Lemon- 1(Big)
  • Rice- 3/4 glass
  • Salt to taste
For Tempering
  • Oil- 3tsp
  • Mixture of (mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds) - 3 tsp
  • Peanuts/ Ground nuts- 1/2 cup
  • Hing- 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder- 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves- 5
  • Red chillies- 2(small)
Preparation
  • Cook rice, and spread it in a plate to let it cool. After the rice comes to the room temperature add lemon and salt. Mix well and set it aside.

  • Heat a pan and temper the items listed in 'For Tempering'. Let the peanuts cook well, lastly add hing. Mix it with the lemon coated rice. 
  • Tasty Lemon Rice is ready. Any chutney is a good combination for Lemon Rice.
